The question of whether land use is leading transit or transit is leading land use is a fundamental one in urban planning and transportation policy, with significant implications for how cities develop and function. As the Capital Region continues to experience substantial growth, it is crucial to synchronize development and transit strategies.

Join us on May 7th for UDI Capital Region's Spring Luncheon, featuring a panel discussion with Minister of Transportation Rob Fleming, Victoria Regional Transit Commission member and City of Victoria Mayor Marianne Alto, Victoria Regional Transit Commission member and Mayor of Saanich Dean Murdock, BC Transit's Director of Corporate & Strategic Planning Matthew Boyd, and UDI-CR Board Chair Ben Mycroft, to gain insights from key stakeholders in the realm of transportation and urban development.

Rob Fleming was first elected as a BC NDP MLA in 2005.
